Neon Fluorescent Pigments, unlike ordinary pigments, convert part of the absorbed light (including ultraviolet light) into light with a longer wavelength and a hue similar to that of normal reflected light, making the fluorescent pigments particularly bright. NOTE: The item is a neon phosphor, not a glow powder, it won't glow in the dark, so choose carefully. It is NEON Fluorescent Powder, shiny under UV lights. Application range: Nailart, Resin, Soap, Candle, Cosmetic Material, ballroom decoration, ideal for any pigment craft, painting and inks etc. Soap Making: Neon pigments should be dispersed in a bit of your soap making oils before using in soap ( pigments disperse in oil not water). If not mixed well you may get streaks or speckles! Add enough oil to the colour to completely saturate and disperse it before adding it to your main soap batch. If there are any clumps floating to top spray with rubbing alcohol to help disperse the pigment/mica. Cold Process Soap - Make sure you mix very well or clumps can hide inside the set loaf. You can mix the colourant in rubbing alcohol or some of the oils before adding to the batter if preferred, mix at very thin trace to allow colour mix before the trace gets too thick. Our neon fluorescent soap dyes can also be used in wax. We suggest mixing the powder with your fragrance oil to disperse before adding directly to melted wax. Inspiration: Let’s make wax melts: Firstly, decant 5g of your favourite fragrance oil and add your desired amount of neon soap and wax dye. Mix until smooth and ensure that there are no lumps. Next, melt down 500g of soy wax over a double boiler. Once melted, add the combined fragrance oil and neon mix to the melted wax and agitate until the colour is evenly dispersed. Lastly, pour into the mould of your choice and set aside to set for at least 4 hours in cool ambient conditions. This pigment may require grinding or high shear mixing to incorporate into some aqueous or solvent based formulations. It is always recommended to test it before use.
