It can grow to around 20 feet tall and wide with a grayish-brown trunk. The leaves are relatively large, around 6-8 inches long and 3-4 inches wide. They are smooth and glossy with wavy leaf margins. The tiny fragrant flowers are usually white but may be pink as well. The fruits follow the flowers months later, producing a woody nut around 1-1.5 inches in diameter.
