Papyrus Umbrella Palm - live plant

Papyrus or umbrella plant (cyperus alternifolius) is easy to grow and multiplies when planted in well-draining soil and full sun. I ship bareroot (without soil) in plastic bags, creating a mini greenhouse that replicates our humid environment and prepares it for your garden. Leaves are removed or die in transit, so new leaves that love your garden can grow. Please don't put tropical plants in water. They are designed for heavy rain that drains quickly, so they will soak in too much and drown themselves. Potting soil does not drain well enough for tropical plants so please add sand, soil, or rocks then water gently.
