Because each piece of wood is unique, engraving results can vary in color, contrast, and grain pattern. Walnut is a darker wood, so engraved text may appear more subtle and be harder to read depending on the individual board’s natural tone. If you prefer higher contrast and easier readability, we recommend choosing maple. Natural variations are part of the beauty of real wood.Some boards may be lighter or darker than others.
