These are found in many different materials including Sterling silver, steel, silver plated copper or brass, hematite, and even plated plastic. Ours are hematite which I have selected due to their high quality, great value and non tarnish advantage. These should not be confused with fresh water pearls which come from a nucleated mollusk and are farmed in water.
