For, perfect length please measure from your shoulder tip to ankle length. But, we recommend 4" to 5" above a ground. If you are not sure about the length. Please check our measurement chart for more help. Why measure 3-4 " off the ground ? To protect your cloak to get wet, muddy, snowy, or for you to trip and fall down while you're wearing your cloak, so for this reason we recommend the 4"above a ground.
