The medium size fits books up to 8.5 inches tall. Most young adult and middle-grade books. Like Twilight and Divergent for example. On average, spines from .75 inches to 2 inches thick. The large size fits books up to 9.5 inches tall. Mostly special edition and large fantasy books. Think hardcover Harry Potter or Fourth Wing, or other large fantasy paperbacks. Average spine thickness of 1.5-2.5 inches. Journal/textbook size: Comfortably fits books 10.5 inches tall, 8 inches wide and .75-1.75 inch spines on average.
