Ensure that the fabric (or other textile) is dry, and do not use steam while ironing the patch or the fabric. Once the patch is properly ironed, it should stay securely attached to the fabric (or other textile) for an extended period. If the patch starts to come off after some time or washing, it indicates that the iron temperature was too low or the ironing time was too short.
