Vintage 1999 Darth Maul Slap Band Bracelet, Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace

This item is a vintage "Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace" slap band. It was released as promotional material or party favor around the time of the movie's release in 1999. It represents the character Darth Maul, a sinister Sith Lord with a double-bladed red lightsaber who is the main antagonist of The Phantom Menace. Slap bands (or slap bracelets) such as this one were made from a flexible, thin metal strip (like spring steel) encased in a fabric or plastic material, in this case, red plastic designed to look like a lightsaber blade. The front features an image of Darth Maul, the classic "STAR WARS" logo, "EPISODE I", and the copyright text: "© Lucasfilm Ltd. & TM." The back is red with no imagery or text. This item is a great gift for vintage Star Wars collectors, fans of the character Darth Maul, or enthusiasts of 1990s movie memorabilia and novelties. It is preowned and loose without any original packaging, but it still slaps! It's made for smaller wrists - children or adults with small wrists - 7" long when flat.
