It's unusual to stumble upon a copy of one of these late 1800s-early 1900s Out-Of-Door-Library books; which published many nature-themed volumes; often as school/teacher editions. ⬇ Written by Florence A. Merriam, who helped form the Audubon Society, this edition was published by The Riverside Press/Houghton Mifflin in 1898. There are many detailed black & pictures; some on glossy paper. Length is 364 pages + a field color key, appendix with migration periods, observation suggestions & index. ⬇ Condition of this copy is fair - the cover is considerably worn, with some discoloration, scraping & soiling. Interior is unmarked less former owner's name inside cover, with no dog-eared pages. There are a number of ragged page edges, some possibly due to the original printing process. ⬇⬇⬇⬇ HOW WE ROLL (FAQS): International shipment?
