Vintage PASSION Oberammergau- German Biblical Play-1980

This is a hardcover photo book documenting the famous decennial Passion Play in the Bavarian village of Oberammergau. The Oberammergau Passion Play, a tradition performed every ten years in Bavaria, Germany, originating from a 1633 vow made during the plague. Official pictorial souvenir books and guides are published for each decennial cycle (such as the 1980 production shown on this cover) featuring photography of the community cast, staging, and biblical scenes. With this book are the original seat tickets, and a guide booklet (please see photos) The text is written in French, German, and English. The book is in lovely condition, just a little "squish" on the bottom front corner. A great piece of history to own or a gift for someone who collects biblical memorabilia. 27 x 21.5 x 1cms. This will be wrapped extremely well for it's journey so that it arrives safely. For all of my items I use Royal Mail 48 Tracked or International Tracked. Once I have completed the order the tracking number then get sent to the customer for them to track their item. Please note that I reuse packaging if suitable and I do purchase recyclable materials where I can.
