Considering making the switch to LIVE plants in your fish tank? There's a host of benefits to doing so-- but perhaps you don't know where to start. I'm offering a couple small plant packages to people who might want a little variety in their tanks, but don't want to lay down too much $$$.... These are very SMALL PORTIONS, but you'll get at least ten individual plants, and I do my best to give you as much textural/ color variety as possible. You'll get stem types, floaters, and mosses. All easily rooted, forgiving, and grow joyfully! You can also elect to exclude floaters, and I'll just make up the ten species with other stems, mosses or creepers. You'll get them categorized by type, and labeled with their scientific, as well as common names. They even come with basic instructions! These are random trims I harvest right before shipping, so I can do my best to pull requested plants, but can't guarantee it. :) This is a great way to get lots of variety if you're the patient, experimental type. I've included a photo above of a sample order. Please have a look at the ruler to the left of the photo :) These are the amounts you can expect to receive. It's the trim pack I wish someone had offered when I was starting out with planted tanks. All grown with minimal fertilizer and average light/ room temperatures. I've posted pictures above of some of my actual tanks that I trim from. This is what a low maintenance, no heat, no- C02 tank can look like after your new plants establish. These are happy community tanks with colorful guppies, snails, shrimp, and of course, lots of plants! I do have a few filterless Walstad tanks as well, so you know these are hardy, easy-care plants that grow fast and under a wide variety of conditions. As I like to keep real ecosystems in my aquariums, there’s always a chance of harmless hitchhikers like snails or dwarf shrimp tagging along with your plants! I personally keep several beneficial snail species in my tanks, including Colorful Ramshorns, Bronze Bladder and Pond Snails, Mini Rams, and Malaysian Trumpet Snails. These snails stay relatively small, help clean the aquarium, and do not eat healthy plants or cause harm. However, if you’d rather avoid any hitchhikers, I highly recommend checking out our blog on how to safely disinfect aquarium plants before adding them to your tank: How to Bleach Dip Aquarium Plants Safely Some random trims you may get these days: True Sagittaria, Frogbit, Java moss, Riccia, Rotala H'ra, Rotala Rotundifolia, Moneywort, Crypt Wendtii, Rotala Macaranda, Narrow Sagittaria, Najas Guppy Grass, Susswassertang, Golden Creeping Jenny, Fissidens "phoenix" moss, Anacharis, H. Tripartita 'Japan', Purple, red, or green Cabomba, N. Hydro. Taiwan, Narrow Leaved Anacharis, Flame Moss, Weeping moss, Bacopa Caroliniana, Bacopa Colorata, Water Wisteria, Hornwort, Ambulia, Salvinia Minima, Salvinia Cucculata L. Repens Mini Red, L. Repens "Rubin", Christmas moss, Willow moss, Microsword, Golden Creeping Jenny, Laceleaf and Broadleaf Water Sprite, Windelov, Narrow and Common Java Fern, Dwarf, and Narrow Sagittaria, Pearlweed, Brazilian Pennywort, Green and Red Myrio and more....! All plants are freshly snipped or harvested and packed right before shipment. I take great care in preparing every order and use methods that have consistently produced the best results over many years in the hobby. A lot of love goes into every package, so please don’t leave your plants sitting in a hot mailbox for too long 🙏 You also have the option of adding ten root tabs and bonus filter plants to your order at a cheaper rate than the separate listing! Yayy Combo shipping! Root fertilizer tabs work great for your heavy root feeders like most stem types, swords etc. They need to be buried, but are completely shrimp and fish safe. I personally make and use these, and they will include instructions for proper use. Filter plants are not submersible plants, but rather rooted sprigs of houseplants that hang around in your hang-on-back filter or just inside the rim of your tank. They look so great cascading down the side of your tank and stand, and are phenomenal at sucking up nitrates! They do not need dedicated light, but rather do just fine in ambient household lighting. I'll send you rooted sprigs as in the photos above, your choice of species: White Butterfly syngonium, Golden Pothos, heartleaf or Brazilian Philodendron, Zebrina Inch Plant (Purple), Variegated Spider Plant, Yellow English Ivy, Marble Queen Pothos. Orders ship via USPS Ground Advantage by default, with an option to upgrade to Priority Mail at checkout. Shipping days are Mondays and Fridays, so please double-check that your shipping address is correct before placing your order. Thank you for looking, aqua friends!
