Martha White Buttermilk Cornbread and Muffin Mix, 6 oz Pouch

First time using this brand. The cornbread didn't rise at all. Ended up with a pan of about 1/4" height. I bought two packages, so if the second one turns out I will review again.

i love cornbread with collard greens. i had never tried this single pack Martha White cornbread mix. what blessing! add water and cook. then smother with butter and dump into hot juicy greens. nothing like it! add a pork chop and ur in heaven! this will be my go to cornbread fix now. so simple and quick. i didnt have to buy eggs or milk!

I'm not a fan of eggs. But for cooking some recipes you really need to have them. This product does not require them. The taste and texture are not as good as the brand I prefer, but that brand requires eggs.

Since it is just me now. I wanted a package I could half for one person. Think this will foot the bill. Also it has buttermilk so it should be lighter. Plan to add some bacon grease like I do with the other brand. But maybe I am spoilt.

This is the worst cornbread that I have ever tasted in my life. The directions said that you can use milk or water. So, I chose water and it was salty, it also gave me one of the worst after taste in my mouth. I threw all of it out and I was very disappointed because I wanted greens and cornbread with my neckbones.

This is the worst cornbread I ever had. It's super dry and it doesn't taste like cornbread. It doesn't even look like cornbread. It looks almost white when it's cooked. I had to use two packets as one packet wasn't enough. When I shook the contents to the bottom before opening it up, the whole top part where you are supposed to rip the package open, came off. It spilled all over the floor.

I usually buy Marie calendars but decided to try this brand it as cheaper…… will definitely not buy again the worst taste texture and left an after taste. What's worse is it was chili night and I had zero crackers zero back up cornbread and had family over for dinner.

Flat. Followed directions, used a cast iron skillet (pre-heated it). second time I've tried this mix (several months apart) and the first one was flat, too. Bye Martha
