100% Recomend The Senior Cat Food!!
anonymousJun 27, 2026

Switched to this senior cat food, because my cats are getting older! They love it! They used to leave the other cat food with some in the bowl. It is not the case now. They eat and all of it is gone. I have noticed a change in their digestive systems and they have a lot more enjoy. 100% recommend this senior cat food!!

This is a great cat food. I had no issues with the food itself. My cats like it. I know this might sound weird but the only issue I had with this is when cleaning the litter boxes. I use pine pellets and because this is chicken, the cat poop is light in color and blends in with the pellets so I have to be very careful to make sure I don't miss any, which I have done many times. Other than that, it's a great product.

  • When Cats Get Older and Need a Bit Extra
    LindaMay 22, 2026

My Cat is 13 yrs old and was having troubles getting up onto things like the plant shelves on our screened porch, or even laying down on the floor or the beds, without looking like she was stiff or maybe even in pain in her joints. This version of Purina has 2 ingredients that help with joint health, so we gave it a try. The nutrition is based on what older cats need, but a few added ingredients is a bigger plus in my book. Being "older" myself, I know that even the weather can effect how I feel and a cat isn't really any different when they get older. So, after a talk with my Vet, asking if this version is okay, they said if she can tolerate it as a hard food, no reason why not. After a couple of weeks, she was actually more active. "Zoomies" resumed in the house and no stuffed mouse was safe from attack. I'm thinking that's a plus! If your Vet agrees this is an okay addiction, the price is right to feed solo or even mixed with their other dry food until they get used to it. She actually picked out the old food and ate most this new one. Go figure.

  • Cat quite hesitantly ate the last bag I bought
    NinaMay 17, 2026

Im not sure if something is currently going on with this specific cat food, but the price dropped quite a bit on here which is why I bought it. First few bags were fine, but the bag I bought before the one I currently have open, my cat barely touched it. Ive never seen her hesitant to eat her food. The other cat in the house ignored it as well. Purchased the bag I have currently as the previous one got unusual reactions. I left the bag on the floor in my room (my cat usually ignores it), but when I returned later, she tore into the bag and ate that while there was food sitting in her bowl (which is fresh daily). Her tearing into a bag to avoid eating the same cat food, just from a different batch, makes me suspicious. Shes a cat, she throws up, but seemed to a bit more with that last bag. Im hesitant to buy it again for these reasons so heads up, if your cat wont touch it, it might be for a good reason!

Have a very old cat I took in. I'm in my 60s, grew up using nothing but PURINA in an animal loving house! ❤️ All of our animals, stray or not, did just fine!! If it was good enough back then, it's good enough now! She loves it, digests it well and comes in very sm pieces 😁 😻

My seven year old likes this food and when I substitute another she does not eat. She does not have many teeth due to genetics and she can eat these little pebbles just fine. i would feed her canned but she wants dry. I do not notice an odor and spills are easy to clean up. The price iis right

My 16 year old cat 🐈‍⬛️ Luna has been eating this specific kibble for 9 years and loves ❤️ it. She has wet food also, but still eats more dry food than wet. She is very healthy, with shiny coat and bright eyes. I wouldn't buy any other brand or formula.

  • buy it elsewhere so that you can continue to getit

unfortunately, Walmart plays games with this inventory and occasionally will have it discontinued in store. what does that do? well it upsets the cat's digestive system creating illness. when you buy a product and then the product is no longer available, it creates a problem. so, my solution is to buy from chewy. I will occasionally buy something here, but most of my pet food purchases are through a proper pet food supplier.

  • IT MUST BE GOOD
    ColleenApr 6, 2026

It's cat food? I haven't ever eaten it, so I don't know what it tastes like? My cat likes it, I guess? She eats it, so it must taste good to her. She's an old rescue cat, so naturally I feed her the Senior Cat Chow. Maybe she's been eating various Purina Cat Chows throughout her life? It gives her cat food breath.

My cats like the senior cat food by Purina. It actually seems to make a difference in their activity level . It takes a couple weeks to see a difference . Both of my senior cats do well with the formula as it is gentle on their digestive track. It is in small pieces that makes it easy for a senior cat with bad teeth to chew.
