I will purchase this again.

I use a glazing method when using oil paints and I need the paint to dry quickly. Grumbacher Max QuickDry oil medium does just that. I am able to use it with colors that usually take up to a week to dry and they will dry overnight.

Perfect for oils for timely drying. Jerry's has the best price for most everything. Shipped timely and not damaged.

  • Love the Product - HATE the Bottle

If you use Water Soluble Oils of any brand then the Grumbacher QuickDry is the best medium you can find (the jar liquid, not the tube gel.)The other manufacturer's water soluble oil mediums are nasty, snotty, gummy stuff. There are two drawbacks though with Grumbacher QuickDry: The Bottle cap will drive you NUTS!!! It's one of those things that you have to press down WHILE you twist open the lid. After about 3 uses of the product, the residue in the thread of the jar lid will get a little resinous and you will find yourself beating the jar to death to try and get it open. Do yourself a favor and use a wirecutter to rip off the plastic outer lid and just use the metal lid below to close your jar. The other drawback: If you don't paint a lot and the jar sits unused for awhile this stuff is also going to thicken up like honey left in the sun and become thick, deeply yellowed and useless as a glazing medium.
