Great trailer tire for the price
- boat overhaulWallyJun 27, 2016
I have a 1994 bayliner capri 2050 LS. I started a overhaul project on the whole boat & trailer. boat turned out nice but looking at the rusted up rims and old tires on the trailer I decided it was time. I looked around and tried the Walmart web site and found this rim & tire combo. They look great on the white trailer. The tires are nice looking. They will definitely do the job. Hats off to Walmart, thanks people.
- Very good productDannyJun 7, 2016
Ordered tires one afternoon and Walmart emailed me the next day that they were in. They fit my trailer perfect. Not many miles yet, but they seem to be doing fine.
- Great Price on a Bias Trailer TireRetiredTechnicianMar 26, 2014
I bought this tire/wheel combo as a spare for our trailer. Keep in mind this is a ‘bias' tire, not a ‘radial'. This is the lowest price on this size trailer tire I found anywhere. Although I haven't put the tire on the ground, I see no noticeable flaws. The tire manufacture date code is 3313 (33rd week of 2013), approximately 7 months old when received. And delivery time, unbelievable … less than 48 hours from order time to ‘pickup at the store' time. I'm only giving it 4 stars, not because of the tire/wheel quality, but because of the lack of sizing information on Walmart's web page. This is vital information one needs to order, so I'm providing it here. These measurements are approximate as (needless to say) I didn't remove the tire (Most of these measurements should be done on an unmounted wheel). Bolt Pattern (On 5 bolt wheels, measured from ‘the farthest edge of hole one' to ‘the center of hole 3'): 5 bolt x 4.5”. Wheel Width (Distance between inside of bead flanges, rounded to nearest ½”): Since I can't measure the inside of the flanges, I can only guess. From the ‘outside most edge of one flange' to ‘the outside most edge of the other flange' (NOT WHEEL WIDTH') is approximately 6”; so I'm guessing the wheel width is either 5” or 5.5”. Wheel says “15x5 1/13” which I assume would mean 15” x 5” manufactured on Jan 2013. The tire says “Rim 5.50”. I don't know if that means the wheel width should be 5.5”; or 5.5” maximum; or 5.5” minimum. Hub Hole: Approximately 3.25”. Backspacing (The distance from ‘the surface of the wheel that mates with the axle hub' to ‘the farthest most inboard edge of the wheel' --- not tire as someone previously stated): 3” Offset (The distance from ‘the surface of the wheel that mates with the axle hub' to ‘the centerline of the wheel'): Zero” Load Range C: 1820 lbs @ 50 psi (wheel is rated at 1870 lbs). Disclaimer: These measurements are approximate. Don't order based on these numbers. Do your own measuring.
