So far, this has been a great addition to our toy collection. My toddler enjoys exploring the different instruments and making her own music. I like that it includes a variety of instruments in one set, which keeps things interesting and encourages creativity. The wooden storage box is also nice for keeping everything together when not in use. Everything feels well made, and I'm looking forward to getting even more use out of it as she gets older.

gave this as a gift for my son and he absolutely loves it! he did kinda bust up the box that holds the instruments but other then that it's been going good! of course it being percussions with cymbals there is some noise levels but I feel like the sounds that can be made are relatively quiet

Only the tambourine actually made a good sound. The rest of the "instruments" produced barely any noise. I purchased this to use in a Second Line Parade, I was disappointed.

I want to start off by saying that this was an amazing set . The quality is outstanding and the variety is great. Unfortunately I felt it was a little too heavy for my toddler and it also seemed dangerous. The shakers were extremely hard , so if your toddler was to hit another person or child with these, whether by accident or not, it could do some damage. The triangle was also hard for my child to understand %26 also extremely heavy but well made . For older kids, it would be a great idea. For 4 and under I would think about that before giving to them. You could separate them some I guess . I would definitely supervise my child while playing with these instruments.

wonderful beginners set or as an addition to other items for musical learning. very sturdy and from a brand you can trust. the wooden box works great as a place to display the musical instruments. got this for our 1yo but all the kids use it even our 16yo.

This is perfect for toddlers. My favorite instrument is the triangle. I was afraid the cymbals and tambourine would be loud, but they really aren't. Melissa and Doug toys are always high quality.
