Highly figured curly maple keepsake boxes with black walnut sides The splines are made of black walnut and add strength to the corner joints as well as adding to the overall box design. The lid keepers are made of black walnut. The bottom is black walnut as well.. Beautiful, beautiful boxes with outstanding curly figure! The tops were cut from the same small log. The boxes measure 9 inches long x 5 1/2 inches wide by 3 3/4 inches high. The box is 2 1/2 inches high from the box bottom to the side with the lid removed. Box #3 has a small line of cracks along the edge of one side of the top. This crack has been stabilized with CVA glue and should nor crack further. The boxes are sanded super smooth and have four coats of an oil finish for a natural lustrous look. Only one left
