I love this spaghetti sauce. I love the sweet basil and the fire, roasted tomatoes and garlic. They make my spaghetti and lasagna. Very tasty. I thank you very much.

Delicious. Not too overpowering. Can add your own favorite spices (I like adding something spicy) and you don't lose the base flavor. Excellent choice!

  • It's the Best in a jar.
    WilliamMay 7, 2026

I always do my own cooking, and I always make my own spaghetti sauce from scratch with the meatballs, but since my injury, I have to use a sauce from the store. This is the only one that I'll use. It's the only one that gets even close to the good Napolitano that I make. The only thing you have to add is a little more garlic and some onions, and don't forget the olive oil.

  • The perfect spaghetti sauce
    KarenMar 1, 2026

This is my favorite pasta sauce for spaghetti, by far. I've tried so many different brands but keep coming back to this Classico flavor. I've been using it for years now. It has a nice little zing to it, has a great smooth texture, and clings nicely to the pasta. Highly recommend.

It has a spicy taste that adds zest to the marinara sauce. It is pretty amazing and great for the price.

  • Very good flavor sauce

Great sauce, can use it lightly on pastas or heavily and it still great flavor. Not too heavy on the garlic flavor but still there.

  • Great Stuff! Not like jarred sauces 60 years ago

It would be hard to tell the difference between this sauce and homemade. Classico sauces contain pieces of the ingredients, as a true sauce would be. Probably, the best jarred sauce that I ever had. Years ago I would make my own sauce, ruining half the day standing over a stove. Classico fixed that.

  • Fire roasted tomatoes, with a bonus
    WilliamMay 10, 2021

This brand compares well with other brands that are far more expensive. I usually stir in some hot sauce to make it hot as well as garlic. That the diced tomatoes are "fire roasted" is great feature, it keeps them firm. It is like spaghetti, plus sauce, plus an additional vegetable, which complements the clams or whatever else you put in your spaghetti. As a bonus, the jar is made by Atlas Mason, and fits Mason jar lids. It is a useful size and shape you can't get anywhere else. The jar alone is worth two bucks.

  • Classico fire roasted tomato & garlic pasta sauce
    AngieJul 11, 2016

I Love this sauce! I will not use canned tomatoes, bc of the BPA in the cans, especially tomatos.... SO this is all I use for my chilli, my spaghetti , & anything that calls for tomatoes. It is a little more expensive then the ragu and other brands... but I can tell a difference in the taste. You can also keep the jars.. Each jar has measurements on it. A standard Mason jar lid will fit these jars.. so for the little extra money it cost you get a free jar.

  • Classico = Goooood

All Classico's tomato products are excellent (try the pesto). I pan-fried 2 Italian mild sausages with a bit of onion until near done, poured the jar of this on top, reduce to simmer put on lid and let it go 25 Minutes more. Poured it over a plate of fresh pasta sprinkled on a lot of Romano and had a good meal. Would have been even better with green peppers but good ol'Walmart does not ship them{YET}.
