I started using this dog food about a month and a half ago. My dog has a really delicate stomach. I didn't think she'd like it, but to my surprise, she eats it all and is constantly looking for more so I think she would approve my recommend recommending it to other dog owners.

  • Diarrhea %26 throwing up
    RLNMay 25, 2026

Something has change in the formula. I have always bought this for my dog since she turned 1 and now she just turned 2. In the last 2 weeks she has had throwing up %26 diarrhea. It cost me $750 in vet bill. I got special dog food from the vet to put her on, however Everytime I go back to the dog food she starts back with throwing up %26 diarrhea. She does not get any table food so the only culprit can be the dog food. This is a new bag I just bought 2 weeks ago.

  • Having an OEB allergic to chicken
    IdaApr 27, 2026

I had to buy dog food that was bison, beef, or lamb or I'd have an OEB with scarlet skin and hot spots! I was already using Pure Balance can dog food with great success (the 6-pack with 3 cans chicken, 3 cans beef!) and after having trouble receiving two other brands on time and then running out, I decided to get the Pure Balance kibble. They love it! The quality is great for all size dogs since the kibble is just the right size, and the moment you open the bag the fresh scent rises and you know you're getting quality dog food. I def recommend: great value for the money; freshness; great ingredients; and on subscription, ships on time every time!

  • Kibble change??
    CourtneyApr 2, 2026

This is my 4th bag to purchase in 2025. 2 large 30lb %26 2 smaller 15 bags. The kibble size and color had changed from all previous purchases. My dogs wouldn't touch it!👎🏻 I have since had to put them on a different food, which they don't seem to enjoy as much. I just wish Walmart would go back to the original food manufacturer they were using prior to January 2025. Kibble was a medium size ( good for both small %26 larger breeds.) and very dark in color. It was obvious that lamb was the primary ingredient. Please fix Walmart quality control department!! My dogs aren't happy pups! Thank you!😊

  • Great Food for Allergies
    SandraMar 23, 2026

I started my puppy on regular puppy food for large breeds hes a (German Shepard)and he started having skin issues, ive had a similar problem with other GSDs. Now hes 2.5 and has been eating Lamb and Rice mix for almost 2 years, he has had zero reactions and has grown strong and healthy. i add fish oil for coat. Hes an absolute athlete as well and it keeps his energy up just fine. If your dog has food allergies i highly suggest this.

  • Dinner and a treat!
    MedinahFeb 11, 2026

My dog is a boxer lab mix with a very sensitive stomach so finding a kibble that really helped balance things out for him was a struggle. That is until I found this kibble. I can always reset his upset stomach with this one and my dog loves it! I often use just this as training treats.

My German shepherd loves this food. He has allergies to chicken, beef, corn and wheat gluten so all that is left is lamb and salmon. Since the lamb is not upsetting him I am reluctant to give him anything else. He is in good health as he is a big boy at a weight of 130 pounds. So the dog food agrees with him.

My dogs really seem to like this. I bought it, thinking it was what I had been purchasing, but I was wrong. I realized my mistake after I got it, I just thought price had gone up. This is more expensive than what I had been buying but my dogs like this noticably more, so guess Ill keep buying it!

If food allergies and you can't afford that super expensive dog food I definitely recommend this dog food. I have a pitbull and and american bully that have food allergies and this help them with a scratching and the licking themselves. I also like this dog food because the first ingredient is what it says it is. They also have different kinds so if your dog doesn't like this you can choose some other ones.

  • If you'er looking for a good dog food. Give a try.

Witch from another lamb and rice brand to Pure. My dogs love it. I really like the ingredients that are listed , like probiotics and vitamins. Also no recalls. They have a good track record and that is very important to me. It's a good bang for the buck. I'm on my second bag and I have 2 big dogs. I also noticed their stools are smaller and softer.
