i really like this knee brace. the adjustable pads are awesome. i use this to hike once a week, my knee feels secure while hiking, and its not too fatigued when im done.

I found this knee support to be fairly supportive and my knee didnt get super sweaty. The only issue I had with this is that after multiple hours of walking and wearing it, it became very uncomfortable on the back pf my knee. That may be the case with any support though.

I bought this brace post lateral patella dislocation. Based on my other McDavid brace and the reviews I ordered a L/XL even though by measurement I'd wear a small. The internal buttress is adjustable. While this brace runs small it has more stretch and fits much better than the first one. Due to the design flaw I have to wear the brace upside down to have the buttress where I need. If I put it on the intended way the bottom flap for the hook and eye closure is between the buttress and my knee; the gap could allow my patella to dislocate again. For medial support or with a different buttress position this is a great brace. It works well upside down also and makes my knee feel stable, it just looks a little goofy. Size up.

The support was just perfect for four hikes totaling a climb of 27,000 ft plus in two weeks. My left knee is weaker than the other one. I usually don't have any discomfort on my right knee but I still wear it on both knees to prevent injury. I wear it every time I'm out for trail running. I strongly recommend this knee brace for any outdoor activity with elevation even when your knees seem to be string. Going downhill can be very hard on your knees. Early protection can give your knees extra durability.
