Ratings & reviews
Have been eating this for years at this point (>300 cans/year). Never have had a problem with the freshness upon opening the cans. Tuna is not salty in comparison to some of the others (e.g. Pastene, Cento). Great source of protein and EVOO is a nice touch v being packed in water which leads to more of a fishy smell and taste. There are some additional "flavors" of this tuna as well for those that are looking for another variation beyond just EVOO. Very happy with the product.

- 1950's memory tunaanonymousMay 30, 2026
I grew up with all tuna being packed in oil. Since I didn't like mayonnaise back then, my mom made my sandwich with butter. Now I do like mayo, but this tuna tastes like my memories and I usually just eat it out of the tin. YUM! Also, it makes it a quick easy meal.
- Zeus wrote this review with his tongue out and I rStephanieMay 29, 2026
That first photo is Zeus seeing the tuna. Tongue out. Eyes half closed. The look of a man who knows exactly what's about to happen and has BEEN ready. That second photo is Zeus with his little nose pressed to the cans doing an official inspection. He approved them. He always approves them. We have never had a failed inspection. This is the only tuna I buy now. The olive oil makes it rich and it doesn't taste like sadness like the water packed stuff does. My tuna salad with this stuff is so good people have asked me for the recipe and I tell them and they say "an apple??" and I say YES AN APPLE, DO NOT QUESTION THE APPLE, THE APPLE IS THE SECRET. Four cans. All week. Zeus gets his plain tax first or there will be consequences. I don't make the rules. Zeus makes the rules. Five stars.
- Easy low carb mealladymamMay 17, 2026
I love tuna in olive oil, because it is easy to add some extra vegetables, onions, lime, and seasoned with garlic , great for a quick meal with protein , excellent for take to the job since the container is easy to open make it even easier , a good size Portion and good for your health plus the benefits of this product regarding the omega-3's and have no carbs for your diet. That's good especially for people watching the carbs because you can add the tuna that already have the olive oil with some healthy veggies on top of your lettuce .

- THIS is What Tuna is Supposed To Taste LikeJTBApr 30, 2026
This is what tuna is supposed to taste like! It is packed in olive oil so it's moist. It's chunky light meat has much more flavor than the white tuna in water. I drain off most of the EVOO, mix the tuna with celery, onion, lemon and just one tablespoon or less of mayonaise. I use lots of lemon. I put some on one slice of white bread (I know), and folded it in half, paired with sweet tea and I was in Heaven! Went back for more with Saltines (I know). Then ate the rest with cucumbers and celery sticks. Finished the whole bowl. Couldn't stop eating it. Bought four more cans today. And I will never go back to the bland, packed in water, tuna type again. I would have taken a photo of it, but I ate it...all of it!
- I think the price should be much lessYApr 16, 2025
I requested and expected YELLOWFIN tuna and was sent LIGHT tuna. The difference in taste is unmistakable and the packaging is made to trick the consumer. Not cool.
- NOT AS USUAL. WHAT IS LIGHT TUNA?! PAY ATTENTION.Dec 31, 2024
What kind of tuna is this?! I didn't receive my usual Yellowfin Tuna but the can say “Light tuna”. This is not what I expected. What tuna is in it? Disappointed by Walmart and transparency about my order.
