A handmade cotton scrunchie in cream, covered in carved orange pumpkins. Carved faces and plain pumpkins mixed together, drawn loosely so it looks painted rather than printed. The cream ground keeps it autumnal rather than costume-shop, and it carries through the whole of October. Sewn from quilting-weight cotton over a covered elastic core, about 5 inches across when laid flat. Gathered full enough to hold thick hair in one or two wraps without digging in. Soft enough to sleep in and to wear on a wrist all day. Machine wash cold, hang to dry.
