A handmade cotton scrunchie in cream, printed with small jack o lantern faces in orange and deep red. The pumpkins repeat close together, so from across a room it reads as a warm orange-and-cream print rather than a costume piece. Up close the faces are all slightly different. High contrast against the cream ground, so it holds up on a dark coat and in a photo. Sewn from quilting-weight cotton over a covered elastic core, about 5 inches across when laid flat. Gathered full enough to hold thick hair in one or two wraps without digging in. Soft enough to sleep in and to wear on a wrist all day. Machine wash cold, hang to dry.
