Amethyst Sage Dendritic Agate Cabochon – Nevada This striking cabochon was cut from Amethyst Sage Dendritic Agate mined in the northern desert mountains of Nevada. The gem features beautiful black dendritic inclusions suspended in milky white agate, forming delicate branching patterns that resemble tiny winter trees or fern fronds. Stones with this level of contrast and clean agate are especially desirable for jewelry. I found this material in a five-pound chunk obtained directly from the miner, and this cabochon reveals one of the most beautiful dendritic scenes hidden inside the stone. When backlit, the agate glows warmly while the dendrites remain sharp and dramatic, creating a gemstone with real visual depth.
