SPAM, Hickory Smoke, 12 oz Can

I'm really only reviewing that this item was mailed to me. Because apparently they didn't have any in the store for delivery.And this is how it arrived with the can exploded in the box

Check it out. I love the flavor. My family slices it for fold overs strat out of the can,can be warmed in the microwave or pan fried. I even add it to a boiled eggs salad.

iIf you a Spam Fan. This is the only way to buy it. The price is awesome per can compared to purchasing 1 can at the time. All 5 of my now adult children love it and , we delight in sharing our Spam Recipes! I t is also a nice item tp share with food pantries, . People dont often get meat at the pantries, so this makes it affordable.

Love the "Hickory Smoke" flavor! For some reason the store would stock on their shelves, and haven't seen it for 6 months, so I went online and found on the Walmart website.

I was once a big fan of Spam and have been to the Spam Museum, but I probably won't try it again. I even fried it which was my favorite way to eat it, but it still lacked any discernable flavor.

The Hickory Smoked SPAM not only tasted great, it was also very versatile to use in meals. Diced up the Spam worked well in egg bakes, scrambled eggs, and casseroles. Great product.

I bought for Budget reasons to possibly take the place of bacon. The taste is authentic to hickory smoked bacon and ham, but for some reason I just couldn't eat it, There's no bad taste, nor spoilage involved - I think the show MASH tainted my feelings about SPAM. However I cut it into pieces, dehydrated it, and made bacon bits out of it. Worked great! But use it in a week or two because it turns soggy on me after that.

I always keep a couple of cans in the cupboard, as being shelf-stable, it is always a good backup item with plenty of recipes on the internet, although best use for us is cut in small cubes, browned in the skillet and then scramble eggs over it. It also makes a good "nostalgic" sandwich - like mom used to make.
