Orbicular Ocean Jasper Cabochon – Early Vein Madagascar This spectacular cabochon was cut from early-vein Ocean Jasper mined along the northwest coast of Madagascar. These famous deposits were once collected by hand at low tide along the shoreline, and the mine is now exhausted. Today, the finest material comes only from old stock and private collections. This gem displays beautiful orbicular patterns with golden centers set in deep green jasper, creating the classic “bullseye orb” look prized by collectors. The layered bands and flowing patterns give the stone a sense of natural movement and depth. Small natural crystalline vugs add character and confirm the authenticity of the material. This is a wonderful example of classic Madagascar Ocean Jasper and would make an exceptional collector cabochon or pendant stone. Approximate Measurements 38 mm x 31 mm x 6 mm 3 mm girdle 10.76 grams (53.8 carats) I hand cut all of my cabochons in my home studio.
